Samsung has started rolling out a new software update to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in various countries. Both smartphones are getting the February 2022 security patch that has already been released to the Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy A51, and the Galaxy A50s.
The latest security update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 comes with firmware version F711BXXU2BVA9 in Africa, Asia, Australia, and Europe. In Latin America, the update comes with firmware version F711BXXS2BVAA in some countries. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is getting the new security patch with firmware version F916BXXS2FVB1 in Germany, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Romania, Southeast Europe, the Baltic region, and the Czech Republic.
The February 2022 security patch fixes over 60 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities in Samsung devices.
If you are a Galaxy Z Flip 3 or Galaxy Z Fold 2 user in the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually using a Windows computer. However, you need to back up your data before using the second method.
