Samsung is rolling out the April 2023 security update swiftly across the world. After the update was released to the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22, Galaxy S23, and some Galaxy A series phones a few days ago, Samsung released its latest security update to its newest foldable phones: Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4.

The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 comes with firmware version F721BXXU2CWCC and is available in Europe and Latin America. The new update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 bumps up the phone's firmware version to F936BXXU2CWCC, and it is rolling out in Europe and Latin America. It brings the April 2023 security patch that fixes 60+ security flaws in Galaxy smartphones and tablets.

This update doesn't bring any new features to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

How to install Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4's April 2023 security update?

If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 4 or Galaxy Z Fold 4 and live in the regions mentioned above, you can download and install the new update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file for your phone's model from our firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows PC and the Odin software.

Both foldable smartphones were launched by Samsung in mid-2022 with Android 12-based One UI 4.1.1 software onboard. They received the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update in late 2022 and the One UI 5.1 update earlier this year.
