Samsung is expected to unveil its next-generation foldable smartphones—Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4—during its Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event on August 10, 2022. Ahead of the official announcement, the press renders of its upcoming phones have been leaked.
The image published by MySmartPrice showcases the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in four color variants: Black/Grey, Blue, Purple, and Rose Gold. As expected, there is not much difference in the phone's design compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 3. It still features a dual-camera setup and a 2-inch cover display. It looks like the hinge joining two halves of the phone is slightly thinner, but it's hard to tell in this low-resolution image.
The clamshell-style foldable phone is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It was leaked using the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and 8GB RAM. It could come in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage variants. Samsung has reportedly not improved the camera setup with the Galaxy Z Flip 4.
However, the phone's battery capacity seems to have received a huge improvement compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 3. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 could come with a 3,800mAh or 3,900mAh battery. It will also feature faster charging at 25W. It will run Android 12-based One UI 4.1.1 out of the box. It will likely feature an IPX8 rating, stereo speakers, Samsung Pay, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
