Now, the company has released the One UI 5.1.1 update to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in India. The South Korean firm may have released the update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 as well, but we haven't received reports about it yet.
Galaxy Z Flip 4 is now getting One UI 5.1.1 update in India
The One UI 5.1.1 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 comes with firmware version F721BXXUDWH5. It is a huge update, and its download size is 2,562.79MB. Along with One UI 5.1.1, the update also brings the August 2023 security patch to the foldable smartphone. One UI 5.1.1 brings improved Flex Mode, which now shows a progress bar to control media playback. You can customize the buttons in this mode as per your preferences. The update also brings new lock screen clock font options and some changes in the placement of the calling video background feature.
As per Samsung's documentation, the August 2023 security patch fixes over 70 security flaws found in Galaxy phones and tablets. If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 4 and live in India, you can now check for the new update and download it right away. You can do that by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip 4 with Android 12 onboard. The phone received the Android 13-based One UI 5 update late last year and is expected to get the Android 14-based One UI 6 update before the end of this year. In total, Samsung has promised to offer four major Android OS updates to the Galaxy Z Flip 4.
