As some of you likely know, a seemingly official protective clear case for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 leaked in photos earlier this week. It showed up on a couple of occasions and confirmed some of the upcoming phone's design elements, such as the enlarged cover display featuring a folder design, the size of the camera array, and the fact that the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Someone has taken the liberty to recreate that leaked clear protective case in a bunch of solid colors. These new fan-made renders (via @UniverseIce) don't reveal anything new about the upcoming Flip 5, but they offer a glimpse of what the phone and that beautiful folder-shaped cover display might look like when wrapped up in a colored protective case.
Most rumors indicate that half the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be black; that the area surrounding the folder-shaped cover display consists of a sheet of black-tinted glass, and that the cover display will blend in with this panel when turned off.
One other rumor suggested that, on the contrary, the cover screen and surrounding frame may have a colored tint matching the phone, similar to the 1.1-inch cover display of the original fold, only much bigger.
Either way, Samsung will likely offer a Bespoke Edition of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 in select markets. Elsewhere, the company will hopefully be as generous with its color choices for protective cases as these fan-made renders suggest.
