A few weeks ago, Samsung released the One UI 6.0 beta update to the Galaxy S23. A few days later, it released the One UI 6.0 beta update to the Galaxy A34 and the Galaxy A54. Now, the company has confirmed that it has planned to release the One UI 6.0 beta update to its latest foldable phones—Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5—this month.
Samsung's official forum moderator has confirmed that the One UI 6.0 development team is trying to release the One UI 6.0 beta update to the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 before the end of this month. This information lines up with a previous report that said the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 beta update will be released to the latest foldable phones this week.
It is likely that Samsung will release the update in China, Germany, India, Poland, South Korea, the UK, and the US. Once the One UI 6.0 Beta Program is announced for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5, users in those countries can enroll their devices to beta-test the software by installing the Samsung Members app, logging into the app using their Samsung account, and clicking the One UI 6.0 Beta Program banner on the app's home screen.
After registering their Galaxy Z Flip 5 or Galaxy Z Fold 5 in the beta program, users can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. The One UI 6.0 update brings a redesigned quick settings panel, improved stock apps, including the Camera app, a new font, a redesigned media player widget in the notifications area, and various new widgets.
