According to reliable leakster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has a 3.4-inch cover display and a 6.7-inch main display. The clamshell-style foldable phone reportedly weighs 187g, which is the same as its predecessors, which means Samsung may have done some good engineering to stop the phone's weight from increasing despite adding a much bigger screen.
Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 will fold completely flat and feel thinner
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 reportedly features a 6.2-inch cover screen and a 7.6-inch main screen, exactly similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Even its height and width are claimed to be identical to its predecessor, and the only design changes would be its waterdrop-shaped hinge, which makes the phone fold flat and feel thinner, and its lighter body (254g). Both upcoming foldable phones from Samsung are rated at IPX7 for water resistance, similar to their predecessors.
Previous reports revealed that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 would continue featuring a side-mounted fingerprint reader. They will probably use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy chipset used in the Galaxy S23 series. While the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to use the same cameras as the Z Fold 4, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to use a newer and bigger primary camera sensor.
