Last month, Samsung released the Android 12 update to the Galaxy Z Flip 5G. However, it was limited to the international markets. The company has now released the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update to the Galaxy Z Flip 5G in the US.
Both carrier-locked and unlocked models of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G have started getting the Android 12 update in the US. The carrier-locked model is getting the update with firmware version F707USQS2EUL9. For the unlocked models, the update's firmware version is F707U1UEU2EUL9. Both variants of the phone are still on December 2021 security patch, though.
If you are a Galaxy Z Flip 5G user in the US, you can check for the One UI 4.0 update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy Z Flip 5G in mid-2020 with Android 10 onboard. The phone received the Android 11 update last year and the Android 12 update this year. The foldable device will get one more update sometime this year or even earlier.
