Samsung has increased its pace of rolling out the April 2022 security update to its smartphones. The Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S21 were the first phones to get the new security update. Now, the update has reached the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, which was launched almost two years ago.
The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 5G has been released in France, but it could soon be released to other European countries. The update bears firmware version F707BXXU6GVD1 and includes the April 2022 security patch. According to Samsung, the update should fix more than 88 security vulnerabilities found in Galaxy devices. It could also bring bug fixes and device stability improvements.
If you are a Galaxy Z Flip 5G user in France, you can update your foldable phone to the latest firmware version right away by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy Z Flip 5G in mid-2020 with Android 10-based One UI 2.5. It received the Android 11-based One UI 3 update in early 2021 and the Android 12-based One UI 4 update earlier this year. The foldable phone also received the One UI 4.1 update a few weeks ago.
