Samsung released the November 2021 security update to various high-end smartphones over the past couple of weeks. Today, the South Korean firm has released the new security patch to the Galaxy Z Flip 5G and the Galaxy Fold 5G, the first 5G foldable smartphones in the lineup.
The latest update for the Galaxy Z Flip 5G comes with firmware version F707BXXS5EUJ2. The Galaxy Fold 5G is getting the new update with firmware version F907BXXS6FUJB. These new updates bring the November 2021 security patch to these foldable smartphones to fix many privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. There might be general bug fixes and stability improvements as well.
The new security updates are now available in various European countries, including Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Nordic countries, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, the Baltic region, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and the UK. If you are a Galaxy Z Flip 5G or Galaxy Fold 5G user in Europe, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install.
Alternatively, you can also download the latest firmware file for your smartphone from our database and flash it manually. More markets could get access to these updates over the next few weeks. Both smartphones are listed under Samsung's monthly security update schedule.
