Earlier this week, Samsung started rolling out the May 2023 security update to the Galaxy Z Flip 5G in the US. However, the update was only released to the carrier-locked versions of the foldable phone. Now, even the unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G is getting the update.
The new software is also rolling out in Australia and European countries.

The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 5G comes with firmware version F707BXXS8JWD3 in Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Nordic countries, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, the Baltic region, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and the UK.
In the US, the unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G (SM-F707U1) is getting a new update with firmware version F707U1UES4HWE1. The update is available on all carrier networks in the country.
If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 5G in any of the countries mentioned above, you can now check for the new software update. To do that, you need to head to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
