Samsung is swiftly rolling out the One UI 5.1 update. The Galaxy S22 series was the first to get the update, and it arrived on the Galaxy Z Flip 5G's international model two weeks ago. Now, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G has started getting the One UI 5.1 update in the US for unlocked units.
The unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G is getting the One UI 5.1 update with firmware version F707U1UEU3HWB1 in the US. The update also brings the February 2023 security patch. Since this is a big update, we recommend you download it using a Wi-Fi network to save your cellular data.
If you are a Galaxy Z Flip 5G user in the US with a carrier-unlocked version, you can download and install the One UI 5.1 update. You can do that by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually using Odin.

With One UI 5.1, you can easily change the selfie color tone in the Camera app. The Gallery app offers improved image remastering, a way to view and edit EXIF information of images and videos by swiping up, the ability to search for more than one person or subject, and the option to create Shared Family Albums. One UI 5.1 also lets you choose the folder where screenshots need to be saved.
Minimizing or maximizing an app window can be done by dragging one of its window corners. Split-screen multitasking has become faster as the app now shows frequently used apps first to open the second app in the multitasking view. The Modes And Routines app now has more options, including font, Quick Share, touch sensitivity, and wallpaper. Modes can be tied with wallpapers.
The improved Weather app now displays all the relevant information in a way that it is visible at first glance. It also has a new Dynamic Weather widget. It also displays an hourly precipitation graph. There is a new battery widget that displays the battery charge level of the phone and its connected accessories. Recently browsed websites on the phone using Samsung Internet can be viewed on a paired Windows PC. Samsung Internet offers search results from bookmarks and browsing history.
The Smart Suggestions widget displays music recommendations from Spotify. The Settings app offers search suggestions. Bixby Text Call, a new feature arriving with One UI 5.1 in some markets, listens to the caller and converts their voice to text, and displays it on the screen. You can then choose reply suggestions or type your reply, and that information is converted to voice by Bixby.
