Yesterday, Samsung started rolling out the January 2025 security patch to Galaxy phones and tablets, which fixes a bunch of issues, and the Galaxy S24 series was the first to get it. Now, the South Korean tech giant has expanded the security update to the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
The carrier-locked and factory-unlocked variants of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 for the United States, which have the model numbers SM-F741U and SM-F741U1, are getting the latest update, and their firmware versions are F741USQS2AXLF and F741U1UES2AXLF respectively.
You can get the latest update on your Galaxy Z Flip 6 by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install. We have made the new firmware files available in our database as well. You can download it from our firmware section and install it manually using Odin.
What about One UI 7.0 for Galaxy Z Flip 6?
Expect Samsung to release the January 2025 security patch to other variants of the Galaxy Z Flip 6, including the international model, in the next few days. Speaking of updates, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is eligible to get Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update.
