June 2026 security update hits the Galaxy Z Flip 6

Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 6. It brings a new security patch to the foldable phone. Similar updates were also released earlier today for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition.

A new software update is now available for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 in South Korea. It comes with firmware version F741NKSS4DZF3, has a download size of over 400MB, and includes the June 2026 security patch. The patch fixes dozens of security vulnerabilities discovered in previous software versions. Unfortunately, the update does not bring any new features to the foldable phone.

If you own a Galaxy Z Flip 6 and live in South Korea, you can check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update > Check for updates. Once the update package has been downloaded, tap the Install now button to begin the installation process. Make sure your phone has at least 30% battery remaining before starting the update.

This update could reach other countries and regions over the next few days. The next major update for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will likely be One UI 9.0.

Samsung has already released two Android 17-based One UI 9.0 beta updates for the Galaxy S26 series, and the stable version is expected to debut on the Galaxy Z Flip 8. It could reach the Galaxy Z Flip 6 within the next couple of months.
