Samsung has released the February 2024 security update to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the US. The update arrived a few days after the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 received the new security update in the country. Other regions could also get the new security update within a matter of days.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4's carrier-locked version in the US is getting the new security update, and it comes with firmware version F721USQS4EXAD. The factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is also getting the new software, which comes with firmware version F721U1UES4EXAD. The carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is getting the new security update in the USA with firmware version F936USQS4EXAD. The factory-unlocked version of the same foldable phone is also getting the new update, and it comes bearing firmware version F936U1UES4EXAD. The new update fixes 72 security vulnerabilities found in the previous software version.
So, whether you have a carrier-locked unit or a factory-unlocked unit of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 or the Galaxy Z Fold 4, you can now check for the new software update for your foldable smartphone. You can do that by opening the Settings app on your device and navigating to Software update » Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually if you are well-versed in the manual firmware flashing process.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the second half of 2022 with Android 12 onboard.
