Samsung was the first Android OEM to release the June 2022 security patch, and the update was first released to the Galaxy Tab S7 series almost two weeks ago. Now, the update is rolling out to the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in Europe.
The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes with firmware version F916BXXU2GVE9. The update is rolling out in Germany right now, and we expect it to reach other European countries within the next few days. The June 2022 security update fixes dozens of known privacy and security vulnerabilities.
If you are a Galaxy Z Fold 2 user in Germany, you can download and install the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in the second half of 2020 with Android 10. The foldable phone received the Android 11-based One UI 3 update in early 2021 and the Android 12-based One UI 4 update in early 2022. It will get one more Android OS update in the future.
