Earlier today, Samsung released the February 2024 security update. The update first reached the Galaxy Z Flip 3, and now, the update is expanding to the Galaxy Z Fold 3. More high-end smartphones will probably get this update this week, and then affordable and mid-range phones will get it in the coming days.
Galaxy Z Fold 3 gets February 2024 security update
The newest software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes with firmware version F926BXXS6GXAC and is rolling out in European countries. It includes the February 2024 security patch that brings dozens of fixes for security flaws found in the previous software version. This update only includes security fixes and doesn't bring any new features or performance improvements.
If you have Galaxy Z Fold 3 and live in Europe, you can now check for the new software update. You need to open the Settings app and navigate to Software update » Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. You need to have a computer running Windows OS, the Odin tool installed, and back up your important data.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 was originally launched in mid-2021 with Android 11 pre-installed. The foldable phone received the Android 12 update in late 2021 and the Android 13 update in late 2022. Samsung released the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update to the phone a couple of months ago.
