Samsung has started rolling out its latest security update to the international variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Earlier, the new security patch was released to the unlocked model of the smartphone in the US.
The new software update for the international variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes with firmware version F926BXXS1BUL8. The update is rolling out in the Caucasus region, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine. Samsung could soon release its new security update to its latest flagship foldable smartphone in more countries.
The January 2022 security update fixes dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities found in Galaxy devices. The update also brings general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
If you are a Galaxy Z Fold 3 user in any of the countries or regions mentioned above, you might have already received a notification of the new update. If you haven't received it yet, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 was launched in the second half of 2021 with Android 11-based One UI 3.1.1 out of the box. The foldable smartphone recently received the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update. It will get two more Android OS updates in the future.
