Two weeks ago, Samsung released the January 2023 security update to the Galaxy Note 10 series. Later, the update was released to the Galaxy A52, Galaxy A73, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S21, and Galaxy S22. Now, the update is being expanded to Samsung's flagship smartphones for the first time, starting with the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is available in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Uruguay. It comes with firmware version F926BXXS2DWA3 and includes the January 2023 security patch that fixes dozens of security vulnerabilities. The update might also include general bug fixes and reliability improvements. Other Latin American countries could get the update soon along with Asian, African, European, and North American markets.
If you live in any of the countries mentioned above and have a Galaxy Z Fold 3, you can install the new update on your foldable phone by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung's newer foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 could get the January 2023 security update pretty soon.
