Samsung started rolling out the July 2023 security update to its phones and tablets earlier this week. The Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S23 were among the first few phones to get the new update. Today, Samsung has released the July 2023 security update to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in Latin American countries.
The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3, bearing firmware version F926BXXS4EWF3, is rolling out in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay. This update brings the July 2023 security patch that fixes over 90 security flaws found in Samsung's phones and tablets. Over 50 of these security vulnerabilities are also found in Android devices from other brands.
If you have a Galaxy Z Fold 3 in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the second half of 2021 with Android 11 onboard. The flagship foldable phone of that year received the Android 12 update in early 2022 and the Android 13 update in late 2022. The phone is expected to get the Android 14 update later this year.
