Samsung has released the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the US. The update has already been released for several other high-end phones from the Galaxy S and Z series in Europe and South Korea. The update has been released to the factory-unlocked units of the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
Unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 3 gets One UI 6.1 update in USA
The factory-unlocked units of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the US have started getting (via @tarunvats33) the One UI 6.1 update. It is a huge update with a download size of around 2.2GB and comes bearing firmware version F926U1UEUIXDB. If you have a Galaxy Z Fold 3 and live in the US, you can now check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.
As you can see in the screenshot below, the update keeps the Galaxy Z Fold 3 at the April 2024 security patch.
One UI 6.1 update features for Galaxy Z Fold 3
The new update brings Circle to Search and advanced image editing features to the Galaxy Z Fold 3. You can watch all those features in our in-depth video below. Not all Galaxy AI features in the video are available for the Galaxy Z Fold 3, though.
The new update includes several other improvements. Those features include custom sticker creation, more accurate image clipping, custom stickers in the Calendar app, and the ability to change the playback speed of certain parts of a video. There are also new lock screen widgets and more font options for the lock screen clock widget.
You can customize Reminder alerts, choose icons for Reminder categories, and reorder your Modes. You can turn on/off Modes from the home screen. There are new conditions for Routines. There is now the ability to share your location with the new Samsung Find app. Bluetooth Auracast has also received more options with One UI 6.1. You can create a Samsung Account for children and control their account restrictions.
