Earlier today, Samsung updated the Galaxy Z Flip 3 with its latest security patch. Now, the company has released the update to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 as well. These foldable smartphones were unveiled in the first half of August and are now receiving their first software updates.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is getting its first software update in Australia right now. The update comes with firmware version F926BXXU1AUHF and includes the September 2021 security patch. The company hasn't revealed which vulnerabilities it has fixed with the latest security patch, but we expect Samsung to publish detailed documentation soon. The update might also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
If you are a Galaxy Z Fold 3 user in Australia, you might have received a notification of the update already. If you haven't received the update yet, you can download it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and clicking on Download and update. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy Z Fold 3 last month with Android 11-based One UI 3.1.1 onboard. The foldable smartphone will get Android OS updates for three years, along with monthly security patches.
