Carrier-locked Galaxy Z Fold 4 gets June 2024 security update in the USA
The carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the USA has started getting the new security update. It comes with firmware version F936USQS5FXF1 and has a relatively smaller download size. It is available only on Metro PCS' network right now but should be available on other carrier networks soon.
It fixes 59 security vulnerabilities discovered in the previous version of the software. It doesn't add new features or performance improvements.
If you have a Galaxy Z Fold 4 and if it is a carrier-locked model in the USA, you can now check for the new software update. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update » Download and install on your phone.
Alternatively, you can also use the manual firmware flashing procedure. However, you must be familiar with the harder flashing process and back up all your data before initiating the procedure. To flash the firmware manually, download the appropriate file from our firmware database and use the Odin tool on a computer running Windows operating system.
