If you are a Galaxy Z Fold 4 user, you might be eagerly waiting for the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update. While there’s still no information about when Samsung will release it, the company is now rolling out the February 2025 security patch to the smartphone.

It fixes many security issues and you can read more about it here. The update is currently available only for the carrier-locked variant of the smartphone for the United States, which has the model number SM-F936U and is live for MetroPCS and T-Mobile. The update changes the firmware version to F936USQS7GYA5.

As usual, you can get this update by opening Settings, scrolling down and selecting Software updates, and tapping on the Download and install button. We have made the new firmware file available in our database. You can download it from here and install it using Odin, but before you do that, back up your data.

When is One UI 7 arriving for Galaxy Z Fold 4?

As for One UI 7.0, people were excited about it when Samsung showcased it but after the company delayed rolling it out to eligible devices so many times, many users lost interest in the new software. The company says that it wanted to make a breakthrough with One UI 7 and that is causing the delay.

Although it would be too early to talk about One UI 8.0, reports suggest that Samsung will roll it out on time unlike One UI 7.0. Only time will tell if that's right. Follow our channel of Telegram/WhatsApp to get updates about everything related to Samsung delivered to you.
