Samsung said in February that the One UI 6.1 update will start rolling out to select Galaxy devices in March and recently confirmed March 28 as the release date. Now, One UI 6.1 is finally available for the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The US is the first market to get it, with Verizon rolling out the update to devices on its network.
One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and other 2023 flagships brings with it most of the AI features that debuted on the Galaxy S24 lineup, along with some other improvements and changes you can check out in the videos below.
One UI 6.1 will first be released for flagship Galaxy smartphones and tablets that launched in 2023, which include the Galaxy S23/S23+/S23 Ultra/S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9/S9+/S9 Ultra.
To check if One UI 6.1 is out in your country, navigate to the phone's Settings » Software update menu and hit the Download and install button. One UI 6.1 is a big update that requries a download of around 3GB, so be sure you take some precautions, including having the device sufficiently charged, before installing it.
Like any update, this one may take a few days to become widely available. Full-sized One UI 6.1 firmware will also be available for download from the SamMobile firmware library and may be used as an alternate method to update the phone using a Windows PC and a USB cable.
