The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is Samsung's top-of-the-line foldable smartphone. It's meant for power users who want to be productive on the go. To that end, Samsung needs to ensure that the device has the required specifications that are able to do the heavy lifting.

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Z Fold 5 with the latest components. The list also includes faster memory, which will enable you to be more productive as the device will be able to keep up with your intense workloads.

LPDDR5X RAM makes its way to Samsung's foldable phones

Samsung shipped the Galaxy Z Fold 4 with 12GB of RAM and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 also comes with the same amount of memory. So it may not seem like an upgrade, considering how the memory hasn't been increased.

That's not where the efficiency is being obtained from, though. Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Z Fold 5 with LPDDR5X RAM where is around 33% faster than the LPDDR5 memory technology found in the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Samsung knows a thing or two about memory chips. It launched the industry's fastest LPDDR5X memory chip last year and that chip is now making its way into Samsung's mobile devices. The faster memory technology will bring noticeable changes to the device's performance. It will improve efficiency, enhance battery life, and make multitasking more seamless.

When combined with all of the other new tech that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has under the hood, it's hard to argue about its position as one of the most powerful Android phones on the market right now. If you're interested in buying one, you can go ahead and buy the Galaxy Z Fold 5 from Samsung right away.
