A day after detailing all the fixes included in the latest security patch for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, Samsung is bringing that patch to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 through a software update.
Samsung's latest flagship foldable is the first Galaxy device to receive the September 2024 security update. It made its debut in the US on AT&T's network, can be identified by the build number F956USQS1AXHB, and is a ~440 MB download over the air. Other markets should get the update in short order.

This is the second software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 following its global launch in July. It only brings security enhancements to the device. No other changes or improvements are included.
The September 2024 patch is packed with fixes for 67 security vulnerabilities. 44 of the fixes are applicable to all Android devices, while 23 are exclusive to Galaxy smartphones and tablets. More details on the patch can be found here.
To download updates on your Galaxy Z Fold 6, open the phone's Settings app, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install. You can also find firmware files on SamMobile. These files can be used for manually upgrading the device using a Windows PC.
