Earlier this month, we exclusively reported that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 with Android 16-based One UI 8.0 onboard. Well, as it turns out, we are right as we now have a proof about it, as well as information about the processor, RAM, and performance of Samsung’s upcoming book-style foldable phone.
A Samsung device with model number SM-F966U, which, according to previous reports, is the Galaxy Z Fold 7, has been spotted on Geekbench (via Tarun Vats). According to the listing, the phone runs on Android 16, which Samsung will offer with One UI 8.0. Considering that Samsung will launch the phone in July, One UI 8.0 is only two months away.

Geekbench also reveals that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has a Qualcomm processor with a motherboard codenamed ‘sun,’ which is the codename for the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Considering that its prime CPU cores are running at a higher clock than the standard version of the chipset, we assume that it is the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy.
The benchmarking platform also reveals that the phone packs 12GB RAM. That will be disappointing for people expecting 16GB RAM. Considering that Samsung has started benchmarking the Galaxy Z Fold 7, we assume that it is on track to launch the phone at the same time of the year as it usually does, which is around July.
