Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7
Samsung usually releases one software update to its new and high-end smartphones every month, which offers a security patch dated for that month. To that extent, the brand released software updates for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 last week that offered the October 2026 security patch, fixing 62 security issues.
However, the company is now rolling out new software updates to the two phones. The tech giant hasn't revealed exactly what changes they bring. They also seem to have the same October 2026 security patch as the previous firmware. Considering that, it looks like this one brings under-the-hood changes to address critical issues.
Samsung is currently rolling out the latest updates to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 in its home country, South Korea. The one for the book-style foldable is a 699.62MB in size and carries firmware version F966NKSUDCZJ8. Whereas the new firmware for the clamshell-style foldable has version F766NKSUDCZJ8 (via Mohammed Khatri).
The company should release these updates in other countries over the next few days. You can check its availability and get it by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
