New software updates are now available for Samsung’s latest flagship smartphones with foldable displays, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and the Galaxy Z Flip 8.  These updates bring the October 2026 security patch.

Samsung hasn’t detailed the latest security patch yet. Therefore, there’s no information about how many security issues it fixes. Hopefully, the brand will release details about it soon.

The company is currently rolling out these updates in South Korea. The update for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has a size of 5298.47MB in size and firmware version F976NKSS3AZIJ (via Mohammed Khatri). The updates for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy Z Flip 8 should have a similar size and carry a firmware version ending with the same four letters, AZIJ.

We believe that Samsung will release the latest updates for the three phones in other markets gradually over the next few days. When it does, your phone should notify you about it. You can tap on the alert and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install them.

If you don’t receive a notification in the next few days and you are eager to get the latest firmware, you can check for its availability by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
