Samsung began updating the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 with the One UI 6.1.1 update last week, but while the initial roll-out was limited to South Korea, the update is now expanding to more markets.
According to a tip we received (via Apviti), the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are now getting the One UI 6.1.1 update in more countries, including Europe and India.
New Galaxy AI tools
This update has a higher build identifier than the firmware that rolled out to South Korea last week, but that's normal between different regions. It happens often. More specifically, this new update for Europe carries firmware version F936BXXU8GXH9 for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and F721BXXU8GXH9 for the Galaxy Z Flip 4.
The update reportedly weighs around 2.8GB. It should include the September 2024 security patch.
As for the changelog, it mentions new Galaxy AI features like Sketch to Image, which can be great fun and quite useful when you're editing photos.
The new Portrait Studio should also be included, letting you turn selfies into drawings and digital paintings. One UI 6.1.1 also brings better translation functions, a Listening Mode for Interpreter, new summarize and translate tools for PDF files, and more.
Check out our firmware section for manual updates to One UI 6.1.1 or open the Settings app on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 or Z Flip 4, access “Software update,” and tap “Download and install.”
