At CES 2025, Samsung Display unveiled multiple new QD-OLED display panels. Among them are the 27-inch model with 4K resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate, making it the first in the world with those specifications, and a 27-inch model with QHD resolution and a jaw-dropping 500Hz refresh rate. Alienware, Asus, MSI, and Samsung quickly launched models with these panels, and now Gigabyte has also adopted them.
Gigabyte has launched the MO27U2 and AORUS FO27Q5P. Both of them feature 27-inch QD-OLED panels from Samsung Display. While the former has a 4K resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate, the latter has a QHD resolution and a 500Hz refresh rate, putting them right up against Samsung’s Odyssey OLED G6 and the Odyssey OLED G8. The AORUS FO27Q5P also comes with DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20, which has a massive, 80 Gbps bandwidth.
The company hasn’t revealed details about the pricing and the availability of the two monitors yet. Expect Gigabyte to reveal those details in the coming weeks. You can expect the MO27U2 to cost between $800 and $1,000 as MSI's monitor with the same panel costs $899.
