Good Lock is one of Samsung's most popular apps. It's the ultimate personalization tool, as the company puts it, and it allows customization of various aspects of the user experience, including notifications, multitasking, the lock screen, wallpapers, the keyboard, themes, and more.
All that customization is made possible by plugins/modules that enable customization of a specific part of the user experience. These modules are listed in Good Lock when you first install the latter and have to be manually downloaded.
Since these modules are apps in and of themselves, Good Lock takes you to each module's listing on the Galaxy Store, which is where you have to hit the install button. Once installed, you have to go back to Good Lock to start using the module.
Good Lock modules can now be installed with a single tap
The process of installing the modules is a needlessly long process that has been a thing since Good Lock first launched many years ago, but Samsung is finally addressing it. With the latest Good Lock update, each module can be installed from within the app with a single tap of the download icon.
The Galaxy Store no longer comes into the equation (except for when you first install Good Lock), though all the modules are still available as separate apps and you can search for and download them from the Galaxy Store instead of from within Good Lock if you wish.
You can download the new version of Good Lock from the Galaxy Store. Just tap this link on your mobile device to go directly to the Good Lock Galaxy Store page to update it, or long press the Galaxy Store icon in your phone's app drawer and select Update apps to see all available app updates.
If you haven't tried Good Lock yet, we recommend doing so, especially now that Good Lock is available in many more markets. It will also be getting new customization features when Android 14 and One UI 6.0 start rolling out globally for eligible Galaxy smartphones, so this is a good time as any to start exploring.
