Gemini, Google's next-generation AI-powered digital assistant, is now available in India and some other Asian countries. It was first released in the US and then expanded to Europe in June 2024.

Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai announced today that Gemini is now available in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Turkey. In addition to English, the new-generation digital assistant now supports Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. So, if you are a Galaxy smartphone or tablet user in these countries, you can now use Gemini on your device.
Gemini Pro, the paid and more advanced version of Gemini, is now available in Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. This version of Gemini supports a one-million token context, document analysis, and document uploads.
To run Gemini, your Galaxy phone or tablet must run Android 10 (or above) and have at least 2GB of RAM. It now supports 29 languages in total and is available in several countries worldwide.

The Google Gemini app can be installed via the Google Play Store on your Galaxy (or any other Android) device. You can also upgrade from Google Assistant to Gemini by accepting the upgrade prompt in the Google Assistant app.
