Last year, Google released a redesigned Google Home app for Android, which offered massive improvements. While the company focused on offering big things, it forgot to add two very basic things to the app, a search bar in the Devices tab, and support for Material You theming. Well, Google is finally fixing that.
According to a new report from Android Authority, the Google Home app for Android’s version 3.23.1.3, which Google hasn’t released to the public yet, has a search bar in the Devices tab. It says “Search devices here.” The new feature enables people to search for a device by typing the device name of type. That’s not all.
This version of the Google Home app for Android also supports Material You theming, which means that if your Galaxy smartphone automatically chooses an accent color based on your smartphone or if you pick one manually, the Google Home app will adapt to those colors, making it look in line with your device’s theme.

At the moment, there’s no information about when Google will release that version of the app to the public. However, the company could roll it out in the next few days.
