Reports regarding the Galaxy Z Fold 4 rival from Google, the Pixel Fold, have been making rounds of the internet for a few months now. Well, it seems like Google might be closing in on the launch of the Pixel Fold sometime later this year. Google Pixel Fold renders, alleged specs, and performance have already leaked on the internet. Now, we have new information regarding the weight of the device.
According to reports, the Google Pixel Fold will be heavier than the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Another piece of information that seems to be connected to some extent is that the Pixel Fold will pack a larger battery than its Samsung counterpart. There is no information on how large the battery will be inside the Google Pixel Fold, but as noted by 9To5Google, the battery size will be closer to, but still well below, 5,000 mAh.
The Google Pixel Fold display will be in landscape mode when unfolded
Comparing this with the battery size on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 (4,400 mAh) and the OPPO Find N2 (4,520 mAh), the battery will be bigger on the Pixel Fold. If the Pixel Fold battery is below 5,000 mAh but larger than its rivals, it should be somewhere around 4,700 mAh, maybe?
Also, the weight of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is 263 grams, while the Microsoft Surface Duo weighs 250 grams, and the OPPO Find N2 at 237 grams. And as per the leaked information, the Pixel Fold will be similar to a small tablet, which doesn't sound that exciting. There is a leaked image that compares the size of the unfolded Pixel Fold (in red) to the OPPO Find N2 (in green) and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 (in blue).
The Pixel Fold will be in landscape mode when unfolded, similarly to the OPPO Find N2. It won't go with the Galaxy Z Fold 4's portrait mode.
