At the Google I/O 2022 event, Google unveiled the Pixel Tablet. Back then, however, Google gave us only a sneak peek at the device with an actual launch due this year. Its pricing and specifications weren't revealed. The company is expected to launch it during the Google I/O 2023 event next month. Today, a new leak reveals the Pixel Tablet's pricing, and it could be cheaper than the Galaxy Tab S8.

Pixel Tablet pricing to start at €600 in Europe

According to a new tweet from tipster Roland Quandt, who has an excellent track record of leaking information about unannounced devices, Google will price the Pixel Tablet between €600 and €650 (around $658 to $713). This pricing is most likely for the base variant, and in that case, the Pixel Tablet will be cheaper than the Galaxy Tab S8, which starts at €699 in Europe.

Currently, the detailed specs of the Pixel Tablet are under wraps. However, considering that Google has recently been launching devices with top-notch hardware, you can expect the Pixel Tablet to be feature-packed. That means it could eat up a lot of the Galaxy Tab S8 sales if priced right. When you consider that the Galaxy Tab S9 is not launching anytime soon, Samsung might have to drop the prices of the Galaxy Tab S8 for it to compete with the Pixel Tablet.

Google Pixel Tablet specifications

According to Roland, the Pixel Tablet will be available in 128GB and 256GB storage options, and you can get it in Porcelain and Haze color options. A previous report suggested that the Pixel Tablet will be available in a total of four color variants. The leak also revealed that the Pixel Tablet will have 8GB RAM, Wi-Fi 6, UWB, and a privacy switch. The Pixel Tablet will also be compatible with a dock that will have a loudspeaker and can charge the device. When connected to this dock, the Pixel Tablet will work as a smart display.

It is possible that the Pixel Tablet will have a high-resolution LCD display, stereo speakers, and a USB Type-C port. Hopefully, we’ll get to know about the tablet as it gets closer to launch.
