This year, Samsung will shake things up in its smartwatch category. It will launch the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro model and ditch the ‘Classic' version of the watch. So, there will be a Galaxy Watch 5 and a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Almost every detail about the upcoming smartwatches has been leaked, be it the design or specifications.
The latest leak from popular leakster SnoopyTech shows the Galaxy Watch 5 promo images. You can see both the smartwatches in all their glory. One photo shows the Galaxy Watch 5, the base version of the two, on a charging dock, while the other two images show the Galaxy Watch 5 worn by a model and the sleep tracking feature, respectively.
Leaked images confirm Galaxy Watch 5 Pro lacks a rotating bezel
The promo images do not show many details about the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, as it is displayed only in one of the leaked promo images. It looks like a monster watch with a chunky 572mAh battery, as confirmed by a Korean safety certification.
The Galaxy Watch 5 will come in 40mm and 44mm sizes, while the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro comes in just the 45mm size. Both will run on the new Wear OS 3.5 version with the latest One UI Watch interface. Some other notable features would be an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, mic+speaker combo, accelerometer, barometer, blood composition sensor, ECG, GPS, gyro, and NFC.
As per the mega leak, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will come in two colors: Black and Graphite. The Galaxy Watch 5 would appeal to audiences with more attractive color options: Bora Purple, Graphite, Grey, Light Blue, Pink Gold, and White. We are just a couple of days away from the official unveiling of the devices, as they will get unwrapped at the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 10.
