Samsung expanded its Galaxy Z lineup this year, and according to countless leaks and rumors, the company will reuse the strategy for the Galaxy S27 series next year.
The 2027 flagship lineup will consist of the base Galaxy S27, the Galaxy S27+, the Galaxy S27 Ultra, and a fourth new member tentatively named “Galaxy S27 Pro.”
The question now is where the Pro model will fit on the Galaxy S27 scale. Will it resemble the Plus more or the Ultra? Thankfully, it could be the latter.
The latest bits of information suggest the Galaxy S27 Pro will have a smaller screen than the Galaxy S27+. This has led many people to believe that, feature-wise, the Pro will be positioned between the base and Plus models.
That might not be the case. In fact, recent reports claim that despite the smaller screen, the Galaxy S27 Pro may pack a bigger battery than the Plus.
It sounds a little sketchy, but that's what the rumor mill is churning right now. Speaking of which, here's how the Galaxy S27 Pro may stand out compared to the supposedly inferior Plus model, according to the latest rumors.
If these rumors are true, the Galaxy S27 Pro will clearly resemble the Galaxy S27 Ultra more than the S27+.
Similarities may extend to the exterior design as well. Although the base S27 and the S27+ may feature the same vertical camera layout as before, the Pro and Ultra models could share a new camera housing design that spans almost the entire width of the phones.

Keep in mind that some of the rumored specs above are easier to believe than others. The upgraded 16MP selfie camera, for example, is almost a guarantee.
On the other hand, the notion that the Galaxy S27 Pro will pack a bigger battery than the Plus in a smaller package sounds less credible.
Then again, maybe Samsung will use the large camera housing to store a bigger battery. Another rumor said the base and Plus models may not feature silicon-carbon batteries, which could also explain the odd discrepancy. Time will tell.
Samsung should announce the Galaxy S27 series in January or February 2027.
