Last month, The Walt Disney Company announced that is working on bringing content from Hulu on Disney+, which would allow people to access content from the two streaming services on a single platform. The company called the combined experience Hulu on Disney+. The beta version of the combined experience was planned to arrive this month and the launch of the stable version was lined up for the spring next year. As scheduled, The Walt Disney Company has released the beta version of Hulu on Disney+.
With the arrival of the combined experience, Disney+ now shows Hulu as a section alongside Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. Once you click on Hulu, you will be able to see content from Hulu on Disney+. However, not all content from Hulu is available on Disney+, including “Hulu + Live TV and Premium add-ons” which will “still only be available within the Hulu app.” That’s right, the combined experience does not replace Hulu or Disney+. The two platforms are still available as separate offerings.
Hulu on Disney+ is now live in the Disney+ app on Android, iOS, Google TV, and on the web in the US. Of course, you’ll be able to access it only if you have subscribed to any Disney Bundle plan or Disney+ and Hulu separately. The Walt Disney Company hasn’t revealed when would the combined experience go live in other regions.
