We are getting more confirmation that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will come in a variant with 12GB of RAM. Samsung has been testing the 12GB RAM variant for the US, as revealed by various benchmarks for the phone on the Geekbench website.
Now, a benchmark for the international model has shown up with 12GB of RAM as well. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be the first phone in the lineup that comes with 12GB of RAM.
Galaxy Z Flip lineup finally moving up to 12 gigs of RAM
In fact, more RAM will be one of the few upgrades Samsung's latest clamshell foldable will offer. The base variant will feature 8GB of RAM, as you would expect, and it's possible the 12GB RAM option will not be provided in every country.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be powered by the latest flagship Snapdragon chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The same chip powers the Galaxy S24 Ultra worldwide and the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ in select markets.
On the software front, the Z Flip 6 will come with Android 14 and One UI 6.1.1 pre-loaded. Some new Galaxy AI features are expected as well. Samsung has yet to say whether the Flip 6 will be eligible for seven years of software updates, but we are assuming it will be.
