The Crystal TV series isn't the only option from Samsung if you're looking for a budget-oriented TV. With the Q60D series, you can now buy a QLED Samsung TV at a fairly affordable price. But should you? It depends on what you're looking for in a TV, but at least we can say that the Q60D offers good value for its price range. And that's even truer with the latest holiday discounts.
For many more details about the Q60D, you can check out our Samsung Q60D TV full written review and our review video below (or by hopping over to our YouTube channel). In our video, we take a quick look at how the Q60D compares to pricier models, such as the Q70D and The Frame, and what the main differences between it and the Q70D are.
For example, while the Q60D offers a solid range of features for its price, it doesn't offer the same image quality as a Neo QLED or OLED TV, and you should probably know that it doesn't support 120Hz, either.
So, if you intend to buy the Q60D for gaming, your mileage might vary, depending on whether you game on a cloud streaming service like Gaming Hub or using a real console that could output 120Hz.
Now, as we mention in our Q60D review video, one of the reasons why you may want to buy the budget-oriented QLED TV from Samsung is that it's a step up from the Crystal series without breaking the bank. Another is the user experience itself, which is generally vastly superior on Samsung TVs compared to other brands.
In 2024, Samsung's Tizen OS is the best it's ever been, and depending on your region, the Q60D will offer you access to fantastic services such as Gaming Hub and Samsung TV Plus. Simply put, Samsung TVs, in general, offer great value because of Tizen and everything else the OS enables.
More details after the Q60D review video
If you are considering buying a Q60D TV from Samsung, you will have numerous size and pricing options. Samsung even offers a 32-inch 4K Q60D version, and 4K at that size is almost unheard of. This TV costs only $499 or less with a deal.
In fact, as of this writing, the Q60D is even cheaper than it looked in our review video. The 32-inch variant is $70 off and costs $429. Other sizes offer limited-time discounts between $100 and $700. You can buy the Q60D in sizes 43, 50, 55, 65, 70, 75, and 85 inches. Here are the ongoing deals:
- 32-inch Q60D QLED: Save $70, now available for $429.
- 43-inch Q60D QLED: Save $100, now available for $449.
- 50-inch Q60D QLED: Save $170, now available for $479.
- 55-inch Q60D QLED: Save $300, now available for $499.
- 65-inch Q60D QLED: Save $300, now available for $699.
- 70-inch Q60D QLED: Save $350, now available for $849.
- 75-inch Q60D QLED: Save $500, now available for $899.
- 85-inch Q60D QLED: Save $700, now available for $1,599.
Regardless of which Q60D you pick, you get a 4K resolution with 4K upscaling, a Dual LED backlight, and more features than you'd get from competing TVs at this price. In short, you can expect a better overall experience from this TV than the competition, but don't hope for something to compete with Samsung's high-end models.
