Is Samsung messing up the Galaxy A52s to sell the Galaxy A53?

Firmware

Last updated: March 28th, 2022 at 18:16 UTC+02:00

Samsung is doing a pretty stellar job with its firmware updates lately. Then again, nothing is perfect. And although the company's new firmware update policy sounds incredible, Samsung is also giving at least a small portion of its customers reasons to critique its recent work. Many Galaxy A52s users, for example, are unhappy with the way things have been going for them lately. And they seem to have good reasons for feeling this way.

To begin with, the Galaxy A52s has yet to receive the March 2022 security patch. Some phones indeed receive security patches sooner than others, but the Galaxy A52s should have minimal delays. The phone is not even one year old, and it should still follow a monthly security update schedule.

The month is not over yet, so there's still hope for the March 2022 update to arrive in time, but right now, the problem — at least for some customers — might be worse than it seems.

Android 12 and One UI 4.0 arrived earlier this year, but unfortunately for some Galaxy A52s users, this highly anticipated firmware update appears to have caused performance and stability issues. This update was later followed by the February 2022 security patch, which, sadly for these already hurt customers, appears to have caused more bugs and performance degradation.

Latest Galaxy A52s update appears to be bug-infested according to some

The latest firmware combo for the Galaxy A52s is seemingly riddled with bugs, at least according to a few dozen Community Posts that bring various issues to light.

Complaints from Galaxy A52s customers mention and demonstrate things like incorrect text rendering and glitches related to opacity. Following the recent updates, some users are also unhappy about performance drops, battery life degradation, and overheating.

Keep in mind that these bugs may be limited in reach to a small number of customers relative to the number of Galaxy A52s units presently active. Even so, it may still affect some Galaxy A52s customers. So, feel free to let us know in the comment section if you've come across any issues after the recent Galaxy A52s firmware updates from Samsung.
