What do Samsung, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG), and TwitchCon San Diego 2024 have in common? The answer is #PlayGalaxy Cup and Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Today, Samsung announced it will host another #PlayGalaxy Cup tournament, this time, at TwitchCon San Diego 2024 tomorrow, September 21. It will be the second event of its kind.
Popular streamers and e-sports personalities, including Ludwig Anders Ahgren (Ludwig) and Tyler Polchow (TeeP), will compete in a PUBG Mobile tournament that will be live-streamed on Twitch via pro gamer Jack Martin's (NiceWigg) channel.
Touchscreen vs mouse & keyboard, and an exclusive APK
One of the more interesting things about this tournament is that participants will be split into two teams depending on the control schemes they use.
Although all the players will compete in PUBG Mobile using the Galaxy S24 Ultra exclusively, some players will use the classic touchscreen controls, while others will play the game using a mouse and keyboard setup connected to the flagship phone.

Samsung says this event demonstrates how devices like the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which was specially optimized for high-performance mobile gaming, enable “both casual and competitive gamers to enjoy their favorite titles at optimal performance,” regardless of whether they use physical controls or a touchscreen.
The team using mice and keyboards includes popular streamers such as Ludwig, Chinna, HutchMF, and TeeP. Meanwhile, the team using exclusively touchscreen inputs feature Xifan and fan-favorite content creators Bella Fox and Wynsannity.
Aside from #PlayGalaxy Cup and PUBG Mobile, Samsung also says that TwitchCon San Diego 2024 attendees have an opportunity to have unique gaming experiences at the Samsung Booth. Specifically, the company will show off an exclusive Genshin Impact APK.
