Samsung started updating the Galaxy A51 5G to One UI 5.1 at the beginning of March, and the same 5G variant also received the update in the USA almost two weeks later. Now, Samsung is turning its attention towards the Galaxy A51 LTE in Europe.
The non-5G Galaxy A51 (SM-A515F) is now getting its last big One UI update in Europe, or at least Poland. Customers can identify the update by firmware version A515FXXU6HWC7. It includes the February 2023 security patch and weighs over 1.2GB — although the update's size may differ by market.
The Galaxy A51 ends OS support on a high note
Even though support for major OS updates is ending for the Galaxy A51, thankfully, the mid-range hero device is ending on a high note. One UI 5.0 was a great update, and One UI 5.1 is even better.
Galaxy A51 users can expect a handful of improvements from One UI 5.1, including settings suggestions, the option to share where they save screenshots and screen recordings, a more powerful Gallery search engine, revamped info for Gallery items, easier multitasking with better gestures for multi-window and pop-up view, independent wallpapers for Modes and Routines, a slightly redesigned Weather app with quick access to useful information, Samsung Internet continuous browsing on other devices, and more.
The update should expand across Europe in the coming days. Galaxy A51 LTE users should be able to download it upon receiving the notification or by opening the Settings app on their phones, navigating to “Software update,” and tapping “Download and install.” Users should also be able to download the official firmware files from our website (once available) if they prefer manual updates over a Windows PC.
Thanks for the tip, David!
