It's been a few months since Samsung released the Expert RAW app. It's an official app from the company that enables users to capture photos in RAW format. It also provides some Pro-level controls such as shutter speed and ISO control.
Samsung has continued to improve Expert RAW's capabilities through frequent updates. One such update is rolling out today. As per the official changelog, it improves the app's ability to take low-light photos.
New Expert RAW update is rolling out now
The Expert RAW app was initially made available for the Galaxy S21 Ultra only last year. The company decided to bring it to more devices later on. These include the likes of the Galaxy Z Fold 3, the Galaxy S22 series, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
Samsung is now rolling out the latest Expert RAW update that bears version number 1.0.01. The changelog mentions that in extreme low-light conditions, the clarity of the photos has been enhanced. This will prove to be very useful for those who take low-light pictures.
We conducted a detailed test of the Expert RAW app and found that the shots it produces does have a DSLR-like feel. The Pro mode controls can be used for all camera lenses and with no over-sharpened areas, the picture quality is elevated considerably.
