Samsung is rolling out a new update for the Galaxy Buds 2 today. These are currently the latest iteration of the company's wireless earbuds. Even though they were launched last year, Samsung is yet to release a successor to the Galaxy Buds 2.
It's great to see that the company continues to improve the features offered by its latest wireless earbuds. The latest Galaxy Buds 2 update that's rolling out today brings a feature that was missed a lot on this device: 360-degree audio.
New Galaxy Buds 2 update brings a great feature
The latest Galaxy Buds 2 update rolling out today carriers firmware version R177XXU0AVC8. It comes in at around 3MB and the official changelog mentions that it brings a couple of new features.
Chief among them is the 360-degree audio feature that we've previously seen on the Galaxy Buds Pro. This feature provides a “theater-like” sound experience as the user is essentially able to feel which direction the sound is coming from.
Today's update also improves the call quality. This will be a welcome addition. Even though the Galaxy Buds 2 provides far better call quality than its predecessor, it's always great to see this crucial functionality being improved further. Lastly, the bluetooth connectivity and stability have been improved to provide a better user experience.
This Galaxy Buds 2 update is already out in certain markets. It goes without saying that it's only a matter of time before the update makes its way across the globe. Those who own a pair of the Galaxy Buds 2 should see an update notification popping up on their device quite soon.
Thanks, Rydah!
