Samsung is sending out a couple of improvements for the Galaxy Buds with the latest update as well. It can be downloaded using the Galaxy Wearable app on a paired device. The dedicated PC tool can also be used to update the firmware.
Music streaming quality improves with latest Galaxy Buds update
Samsung is rolling out firmware version R170XXU0ASF3 for the Galaxy Buds today. The update weighs in at just over 1MB. The changelog mentions that this update improves music streaming and phone call quality. Some users have complained about the phone call quality particularly. They will be hoping that this update addresses their concerns.
A temporary error which occurred when the Ambient Sound mode was activated has also been resolved. This update also modifies the battery level display to show the lower battery level between the two earbuds.
Pair the Galaxy Buds to your smartphone and then launch the Galaxy Wearable app. It will notify you automatically that an update is available. Those who'd rather do this on their PC can use the Galaxy Buds Manager program available for both Windows and Mac.
