The Galaxy Watch Active 2 is getting a new software update carrying the build number R820XXU1BSJ6. It fixes a screen flickering bug that can occur when users return to the Watch Always On mode. We haven't run into this issue ourselves, so it's probably not too widespread, but if you have experienced this problem with your wearable then you might want to keep an eye out for this release.
Aside from the aforementioned fix, the update also improves language support for Samsung Health features, but the changelog doesn't detail what this entails, exactly.
Galaxy Watch Active 2 experience improves with a new update
Samsung had begun rolling out the Galaxy Watch Active 2 update with build number R820XXU1BSJ6 a couple of days ago and availability continues to expand. The package weighs a little under 14MB, or just about as much as the R820XXU1BSI9 update weighted when it landed in the US last month, pushing the version of Tizen OS up to 4.0.0.7.
The update will present a notification on your connected phone once it will be ready for your wearable. You can also verify if the update is available for your Galaxy Watch Active 2 by launching the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected smartphone and accessing About Watch. You can then tap Update Watch software and Update now to confirm.
