May 2024 Google Play System update starts reaching Samsung phones

Earlier this month, Google released the May 2024 Google Play System update for Android devices. Well, the update has now started reaching Samsung’s smartphones and tablets.

The May 2024 Google Play System update brings new versions of Google Play Store, Google Play services, Android TV Core Services, and Android WebView, which offer a plethora of changes, including new features, performance improvements, and bug fixes. You can check them out in the image below.

We have received the Google Play System update for May 2024 on our Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 in India. On Samsung’s Community forum for Pakistan, a user says that they have received the update on their Galaxy A54. Going by user reports on various platforms, the May 2024 Google Play System update seems to be reaching a wide range of Samsung devices around the globe.

How to download the Google Play System update for May 2024 on Samsung devices?

To get the Google Play System update for May 2024 on your Galaxy smartphone or tablet, go to Settings » About phone » Software information and click on Google Play system update. Once you do that, the phone will check if an update is available and notify you about it. Once you download and install the update, the Google Play system update field should show 1 May 2024.

The update we have received on our Galaxy S23 is 80MB in size. Depending on your device, the update size could vary.
